Turn a hoverboard into a go-kart
A hoverkart seat attachment clamps onto a board you already own and turns it into a seated kart steered with two levers. It is a genuinely different ride, and it suits children who find balancing hard — which is most of them at the start. It fits the standard 6.5-inch and 8.5-inch boards.
We fix hoverboards, whoever sold you one
Dead battery, a board that will not charge, one wheel not driving, a broken shell, calibration that has gone. It is done on our own bench in Cookstown with spares in stock, so you are never posting a board away and waiting weeks to hear back. Book a repair, or ring the shop and describe the fault.
Where a hoverboard can legally be used
This catches people out, so we would rather say it anyway. Self-balancing boards are treated as motor vehicles in UK law, which means they may only be used on private land, with the landowner's permission — a garden, a driveway, or indoors. Not footpaths, not roads, not public parks. It is the same position as e-scooters, which our plain-English guide to the Northern Ireland rules sets out in full.
Looking for a ride instead?
If you came here for a first ride-on for a child, our kids' electric scooters start around the same money a hoverboard used to, and our kids' electric bikes are the step up from there. Ring the shop and we will tell you honestly which suits the rider you have in mind.
A real shop behind it
